General Psychiatric Assessment  

This appointment includes reading background information (if available), pre-assessment questionnaires for a child and parent(s), a face to face assessment with a child and parent(s) that lasts for a maximum of 120 minutes. During this appointment, feedback will be provided. The detailed report will be sent to you and a copy to your GP electronically within 4 week’s of your appointment. Please note that if you need more time than the initial assessment provides to discuss the formulation / diagnosis / treatment for your child then it is necessary to organise a follow up appointment which is not included in this package. In this situation you will need to book a follow up appointment.

Dr Mastalerz can provide psychiatric assessments of mental health difficulties occurring in childhood and adolescents including:

  • Different types of anxiety disorder (phobias, social anxiety, attachment anxiety).
  • Obsessive and Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
  • Depression Disorder.
  • Emotional disregulation.
  • Trauma/ Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
  • Sleep difficulties.
  • Behavioural challenges related with neurodevelopmental conditions.
  • Neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g. ASD, ADHD).
  • Mental health difficulties in children and adolescent with mild / moderate Learning Difficulties.

  • Second opinion on previous diagnoses.
  • Transfer care from another clinician.
  • Psychiatric follow-up or medication review.
