General Psychiatric Assessment
This appointment includes reading background information (if available), pre-assessment questionnaires for a child and parent(s), a face to face assessment with a child and parent(s) that lasts for a maximum of 120 minutes. During this appointment, feedback will be provided. The detailed report will be sent to you and a copy to your GP electronically within 4 week’s of your appointment. Please note that if you need more time than the initial assessment provides to discuss the formulation / diagnosis / treatment for your child then it is necessary to organise a follow up appointment which is not included in this package. In this situation you will need to book a follow up appointment.
Dr Mastalerz can provide psychiatric assessments of mental health difficulties occurring in childhood and adolescents including:
- Different types of anxiety disorder (phobias, social anxiety, attachment anxiety).
- Obsessive and Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
- Depression Disorder.
- Emotional disregulation.
- Trauma/ Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
- Sleep difficulties.
- Behavioural challenges related with neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g. ASD, ADHD).
- Mental health difficulties in children and adolescent with mild / moderate Learning Difficulties.
Dr Mastalerz can also provide:
- Second opinion on previous diagnoses.
- Transfer care from another clinician.
- Psychiatric follow-up or medication review.
